The Commons Foundation announced that it had signed a contract for the establishment of the world's largest cryptocurrency mining center and global cryptocurrency exchange in Ciudad del Este under the support of Paraguay on November 6.
According to the contract, Paraguay will provide a land and buildings at the area of 10,000 ㎡ for the establishment of five mining centers (at the area of about 5,000 ㎡) near the Itaipu hydro power plant as the world's largest clean energy producer,
freeze the electricity charges, install an exclusive high-speed Internet network, and legislate laws for the related business.
The Itaipu hydroelectric power plant in Paraguay boasts the world's largest annual energy generation with the production of 103.1 TW.
“Paraguay uses only 10 to 20% of electricity generated by the Itaipu hydro power station and exports more than 80%," said Chairman Yongkwan Choi.
"We will utilize the cheap and rich clean energy to build the world's largest mining center in Paraguay.”
The Commons Foundation said it is now able to focus on the Golden Goose Project in Paraguay through this contract.
The Foundation also announced a plan to utilize Micro Bitcoin (MBC), a Bitcoin hard-fork open-source project, which it has a partnership with.
It will use Micro Bitcoin (MBC) as a means of paying project participants 30% of the revenue generated by the mining center and 70% of the revenue generated by the global cryptographic exchange.
The Foundation plans to proceed with the Pre-Sale and IEO (Initial Exchange Offering),
starting with "the investment and business contract for the establishment of the cryptocurrency mining center and the global cryptocurrency exchange in Paraguay" signed under the support of Paraguay.
It will make arrangement so that the participation in the project, including pre-sale, can be made with Micro Bitcoin (MBC), Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH).
Chairman Yongkwan Choi said, "The Golden Goose project, which is to build the world's largest cryptocurrency mining center and global cryptocurrency exchange in Paraguay, will change the global blockchain ecosystem.
" In addition, Hugo Velázquez Moreno, Vice Present of Paraguay, promised that “Paraguay will actively support the Gold Goose Project of the Commons Foundation, including amendment of the relevant laws for tax support.”
This has led the Commonwealth Foundation to set up its first bridgehead to create a blockchain ecosystem in South America.
The Commons Foundation announced that it has confirmed that the Embassy of Paraguay in Korea would make active support and cooperation regarding the local contract as of Nov. 6,
under which the support and cooperation from Paraguay will be given. Raul Silvero Silvagni, Ambassador of Paraguay in Korea met with Yongkwan Choi, Chairman of Commons Foundation for the first time on Nov.
23 on the 4th floor of Hannam Tower Annex Building at 27-gil, Hannam Daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, Korea.
Ambassador Raul Silvero Silvagni, who takes the same positions in Singapore, Mongolia, Cambodia, and the Philippines, showed the will to support issues arising in those countries regarding the Golden Goose Project being carried out in Paraguay.
Paraguay will make efforts to actively cooperate to supply power and a high-speed internet access network for smooth operation of a 50,000㎡ cryptocurrency mining center in Ciudad del Este established by the Commons Foundation and the joint venture and provide legislation and tax support to ensure smooth coordination and support of all related businesses including the global exchange.
"With the active cooperation and support of Paraguay, the Foundation has come to help Paraguay serve as the base for the fourth industrial revolution in South America, and will do its best to create lots of jobs and spread new technologies," said Chairman Yongkwan Choi.
In response, Ambassador Raul Silvero Silvagni said, "We will closely support and cooperate with the Commons Foundation and the joint venture to make it a successful project."
The Commons Foundation visited the Georgia Data Center (DC) of the Bitfury Group in January 2019 and signed a term sheet contract for the Golden Goose Project operated by the Foundation.
The contract includes an order for BitFury's cryptocurrency mining equipment BlockBox AC (BBAC) to operate a temporary mining center in the world's largest cryptocurrency center site in Paraguay, which will be part of the Golden Goose Project.
Prior to the contract, both shared the overall roadmap for the project with each other and discussed the entire business contract from the temporary mining center to the regular mining center for the project's success.
The Golden Goose team toured the current Georgia data center and checked the overall operation and all related matters, thereby valuing it as an opportunity to raise confidence in the BitFury structure.
The BitFury Group responded positively that the project is an important selection that goes together with the long-term vision of BitFury.
Starting to order 4 units of BlockBox AC (BBAC) until February 2019 for the site near the Paraguay Itaipu Hydro Power Plan, the Golden Goose team will order 30 more units by May to operate a temporary mining center and then order a total of 330 units of BlockBox AC (BBAC) stepwise by 2021 when the construction of the regular mining center is completed.
It was said that the two companies will sign a formal MOU and a partnership contract for the project when George Kikvadze, Vice President of the BitFury Group, visits Korea in late January.

The Commons Foundation and BitFury has built trust through mutual visits, and this contract included the orders of BitFury's cryptocurrency mining equipment BlockBox AC (BBAC) for operating the Commons Foundation's temporary mining center.
Earlier, the Commons Foundation, in cooperation with the Paraguayan joint venture, is executing the Golden Goose Project to establish a 200,000m² cryptocurrency mining center near the Itaipu Hydro Power Plant, which produces the world's largest clean energy.
This contract with BitFury was evaluated to lie a cornerstone for the Golden Goose Project.
The Commons Foundation also announced a plan to operate a temporary mining center with the establishment of a 500 MW substation and a temporary cryptocurrency mining center for the Golden Goose Project.
The Foundation also said that when BitFury's mining equipment is introduced in the temporary mining center according to the contract, the contribution reward would be able to be paid to the owner of the Golden Goose Token every day from as early as the first half of the year.
